The Story

I was born in 1993 in Portugal and I am currently living and working in the Hague, the Netherlands. Due to my studies in Biology and my family’s background in international development aid, I have travelled several times to different areas and communities in the world in particular the African continent. During my last journey, related to a research project on the conservation of the West African chimpanzee, I lived and worked in 2017 for a long period of time with communities in the Boé region. One of the most isolated and remote areas of West-Africa. I loved living and working among different peoples and have become incredibly inspired with the way local communities live and interact with each other. These people play a crucial role in my attitude and imagination as an artist.
